AI video is coming to Snappic

The next big leap for AI photo booth experiences is almost here. Snappic is rolling out AI video generation, turning a single guest photo into a short AI video clip that's ready to share within seconds of a shoot. Details are still being finalized, but if you've been in the AI photo booth space long enough to remember how quickly still-image AI went from novelty to standard, you know this shift is going to reshape how booth operators build packages again.

Insider scoop

The Prompt Catalog is building AI video prompts to launch alongside the Snappic feature. When it goes live, you'll be able to grab our video prompt sets and drop them straight into Snappic, no waiting to figure out what actually works, no burning tokens on trial-and-error test videos. Same instant-download flow as our AI image prompts today.

What changes for your business

A guest still walking away with a great AI photo is table stakes now. A guest walking away with a short, sharable AI video with their face in it, something they can post in their story that night, is a whole different tier of experience.

Video experiences demand premium pricing. From what we're seeing in the market with early operators positioning video-forward experiences, the pricing bar is much higher than a standard AI photo booth activation:

Minimum

$5,000

For a few hours of coverage

Average booking

$9,500

Full video-included package

That's not aspirational, that's roughly what booth operators offering AI video experiences are landing today, once they package it correctly. The delta from a standard photo booth booking is significant, and it's driven by two things: (1) guests will pay more because AI video is genuinely wow, and (2) you have real extra cost and setup to cover, so you need to build that in.

Why we recommend selling video as a premium tier

Don't just bolt AI video onto your existing package at your current price point. We strongly recommend positioning video as a separate, premium offering. Two reasons:

  • Token usage is meaningfully higher. AI video generation burns dramatically more compute per output than a single still image. If you're baking it into your standard package without adjusting price, you're eating margin on every guest. A premium tier lets you pass that cost through cleanly.
  • Build and delivery time is longer. Video takes more time to generate per guest, more storage to deliver, more bandwidth to share, and more thought to prompt well. That processing overhead is real. When you charge a video premium, you're protecting your throughput and your team's time, not just recovering the compute bill.

The clean way to package it: keep your existing AI photo booth package as your standard tier. Add an “AI Video Experience” upgrade that includes video prompts, video output delivery, and the premium touch. Anchor that upgrade at the $5k minimum for shorter events and let it scale up from there for full-day or high-guest-count bookings.

How to prep your business now

A few things worth doing before AI video launches so you're not scrambling on day one:

  • Draft your video-tier package now. Sketch out what's included, what it costs, and how you'll pitch it. Even a rough one-pager gives you a head start when clients ask.
  • Identify which upcoming bookings are candidates. Brand activations, launch parties, premium weddings, corporate events, any client where a $5k–$10k upgrade fits the budget. Warm them up on video as an option before it's public.
  • Watch this space. When our first AI video prompt sets go live in the catalog, you'll be able to integrate them directly into Snappic the same way you use our photo prompts today.

We'll be publishing follow-up posts as more information is confirmed, supported video lengths, prompt structure, pricing on the Snappic side, and the first Prompt Catalog video sets ready to go. If you want the details as they come out (before they hit the rest of the market), keep an eye on the blog or reach out if you want to talk through how to position video for your specific market.
